    Full titles read: "LONDON'S NEW BOROUGH - Charter Mayor of Walthamstow receives Charter of Incorporation granted by the King from Mr JH [J.H.] Thomas, Lord Privy Seal."

  • Sir Thomas Courtenay Theydon Warner, 1st Baronet (1857-1934), aka Courtenay Warner, served as Charter Mayor of Walthamstow in 1929. A wealthy landowner, he developed his estates in Walthamstow, Leyton and Woodford from the 1880s until 1930. Warner Estate Ltd was registered by Courtenay Warner in 1891.
