    Full title reads: "London & Brighton - London's Lord Mayor starts annual relay race from Palace Yard, Westminster."

    London & Brighton.

    Sir Charles Collett, the Lord Mayor of London shakes hands with runners in the annual London to Brighton race. Start of race, contestants leave the Palace Yard, Westminster, run through the crowded streets and are on their way to Brighton.

    Various shots of the contestants running. Crowds along the road cheer the runners.

    The end of race, winner breaks the tape and is greeted by the Mayor of Brighton at crowded pier.
