The location for this footage is currently stated to be Australia, however it's actually Barrett Reef, in the entrance to Wellington Harbour, New Zealand.
The ship ran aground on 19 January 1947, and remained stuck there for 18 days.
Amongst those on board were the famous British businessman and philanthropist Lord Nuffield.
The text "location and date unclear or unknown" can be removed.
