Young woman is shown a bowling shirt by assistant in shop. On the counter is a bowling bag, a bowling ball and bowling shoes. C/U young woman's face. C/U young woman' hands holding shoe. Assistant puts the shoe into a box. The assistant shows the young woman a bowling ball. It has extra holes in it to try out different finger sizes. C/U assistants face. C/U bowling ball and shoes in bag.

Man demonstrates an automatic ball cleaner and polisher. The machine spins the ball very fast and then the man removes it and puts it on rack. Ball comes up from machine. C/U man's hand as he places his fingers in the holes. C/U man's feet as he runs towards the lane. C/U shoe as he stops. C/U man's face as he watches his bowl. Strike!! C/U all ten pins fall.

Man approaches food counter and is served with a hot dog by a woman assistant. The voice over suggests that "for a whole afternoon or evening, you could almost live here". The man stuffs the hot dog into his mouth and begins to eat. He gives quick smile of satisfaction. It is here that we learn that the film is thinly veiled advert for 'ABC Bowling Centres'. "Here's a sport that women like as much as men". Woman holding bowling ball wearing dress and flower. A member of staff steps forward to assist her. The woman bowls. Several pins fall down. Woman and assistant smile. Woman in red silky shirt bowls. C/U her face as she watches how she has scored. She knocks over nine pins.

Notes: This film is a thinly veiled advert for A.B.C. Bowling Centres. It shows a British take on an American sport. Most of the men are wearing ties. There are several prints of this film. The colour has sadly faded on all of them.

One print ends with an on screen advert - "Coming Soon! Tenpin bowling at the Leytonstone Bowl - Opening August 30th". This version is more scratched and has a slightly different voice over. The Leytonstone version is labelled as Version 2.
