M/S back view of a man and woman, smashing a bottle against a ship to launch it. Good shot of the ship moving down the slipway as workers watch it go. C/U of the launching man and woman - she is quite young, he has white hair and beard. Pan across the couple with their entourage - lots of ladies in hats with veils. Shots of officials coming along a gangplank.
Shot of the bow of another ship, with people moving around on the deck, as it slowly slips down to the water. Wording on the side of the ship reads 'Prince Nichols (? Nicholus?). Quick cut to shot of Tudor timbered building. Back to the slipway. Launching party coming down gangplank.

This clip is a mish-mash of two separate events.
Up until 01:24 what's happening currently remains unclear. However at 01:25, we see the launch of the concrete ship named "Prince Nicholas", (not Nichols or Nicholus as the shots list currently suggests).
This launch took place on 16 January 1919. The location is the Lake Shipyard, Hamworthy, Dorset.
Attached is a photo of the event, (which when clicked on exactly matches the scene at 02:07 in the clip).........
