    Launch of Empress of Japan.

    Location of events unknown.

Launch of Canadian-Pacific passenger liner - 1930. C/U people on platform prepare to christen ship. Lady hammers peg which cuts loose a string & lets bottle of champagne hit the ship's hull; however this first attempt is unsuccessful and a man reaches over and smashes the bottle again so that it breaks - a rather comic episode. Quality on that is ok. But unfortunately all film of the ship itself is of very poor visibility; probably due to fog (hard to see where this item ends, due to the almost totally blank screen in the foggy section - SL).

    Boats and ships.

Verbal warfare at its best. Here are some of history's greatest retorts and snarling insults. These people certainly didn't mince their words!
