    L/S of shot from 1934 of washing lines full of nappies. M/S showing it is now full of little night-dresses. M/S of the five girls getting into their chairs ready for meal time. The camera pans across them as they are given their food - Yvonne, Emily, Marie, Annette, who doesn't want to eat, and Cecile. Various shots as they eat and drink, getting the food and milk all over their faces. M/S as a nurse helps one of them to brush her teeth.

    They climb down from their chairs, one of the girls gets a bit stuck trying to disentangle herself. Various shots as another crawls along the floor and the nurse follows trying to tie a lace on the back of her dress.
