    At an unidentified aerodrome we see Admiral Stark, Commander of US Naval Forces operating in European waters, arriving by plane with Mr Winant. British naval ratings and a contingent of United States Marines form a guard of honour to greet them.

    Admiral Stark inspects the troops, then makes a short speech, saying he is delighted to be back (he was last in Britain as a Staff Officer in the First World War). M/S of US Marines marching past the aeroplane.

    "Admiral Stark" is Harold Rainsford Stark.

    "Mr Winant" is John Gilbert Winant.
