Full titles read: "Late Earl of Oxford & Asquith - Britain mourns the loss of one of her most distinguished Statesmen and a scholarly gentleman."

    Paisley, Strathclyde.

M/S of Lord Herbert Henry Asquith, 1st Earl of Oxford walking along a crowded street and coming close to the camera as he shakes hands with someone. (Title is repeated - possibly replacing a missing intertitle.) C/U of Lord Asquith talking to someone off camera. M/S of Asquith and two women (wife and daughter?) as they stand on the steps of a building, being pelted with flour bombs and brushing flour off their coats; the group then poses for the camera. This footage is probably from 1920, when Asquith won the Paisley By-election.
