Location unknown. Probably in America (newsreel cameramen's voice in background have American accents).

MS. CU Lady Franks with the McCormick family seated on settee - children have boxes containing presents in hands. Children open presents LS Lady Franks addressing Mrs. McCormick says:
(natural sound) "It is with a deep feeling of sincerity and of privilege, Mrs. McCormick, that I give you, for your daughters this piece of MacIntosh (alt spellings McIntosh or Macintosh) tartan and the tie for Rosemary and the brooch for Joan. They come, as you know, from Mrs. Rita Robertson, the wife of a Scottish miner who lives at Rosyth near Edinburgh. She has sent this as a personal gift to you and your children, but they mean more than that, they are a symbol of the feeling of sympathy and unity that the women of Britain feel with the wives of American soldiers who with British and United Nations Forces, are fighting together in Korea. Women everywhere must hope and pray and work so that the suffering of the men and that the terrible sacrifices of their wives and children shall enable us all to live in a peaceful world."
