At Great Ormond Street Hospital, Lady Churchill attends a small ceremony to name the "Winston Churchill Ward". LS and CU Lady Churchill speaking, expresses Winston Churchill's gratitude to have his name associated with first a cot and then the whole ward. She speaks quite charmingly about how her husband has managed to achieve so much, which is simply that he enjoys it all. "He likes everything that he does".

CU Mr. Halliwell speaking, he reads from a letter from Winston Churchill which thanks the members of the Gauge and Tool Maker's Association for their gift of a cot for the hospital as his 80th birthday present. The speakers and Lady Churchill leave the platform.

Note: "Date received" on original paperwork reads: 07/11/1955
