    Item title reads - Jules Verne's prophecy realised? The Gloucester Napier number 3 - one of Britain's entries for Schneider Cup - does over 4 miles a minute in final tests before being sent to America, (USA, U.S.A.) Felixstowe, Suffolk.

    M/S as the pilot climbs into the Gloucester Napier number 3 seaplane. L/S as it is pushed down a ramp onto the sea and speeds off across the top. Various shots as it taxis then takes off. Various shots as it flies along.

    Intertitle - At Calshot - the Super Marine Napier number 4 is also "a miracle of speed."'

    L/S as the Super Marine Napier number 4 is wheeled along the ground. M/S of it in the water. M/S as the propellor starts up, L/S as it glides over the water.

    Intertitle - 'All good wishes go with the intrepid pilots - Captain Biard and Captain Broad.'

    M/S of one of the young pilots as he puts his flying hat on. C/U of his smiling face.

    M/S as the propellor of the seaplane is slowly started up. C/U of the young pilot again. M/S as he gets into his aeroplane. M/S as it is wheeled down to the bottom of the ramp. It sits on the water then taxis across, M/S as it glides along. M/S as it takes off into the distance.
