Animation starring Jerry the Troublesome Tyke - a cartoon dog. A U.I.C. production. The cartoon artist Sid Griffiths sits at his desk with a piece of paper on an easel in front of him. He dips his pen in the inkpot and begins to draw. He draws some spots which spin around the page then eventually turn into our old friend Jerry. Jerry says to Sid: "I want a holiday!" Sid asks: "Do you think you deserve one?" Jerry nods his head. "Very well. Off you go!" says Sid. Jerry shouts "Hooray!" Jerry walks along, suitcase in his hand and wearing a very jaunty cap.
He arrives at the Railway Station. A train moves along with the words "To the Seaside" painted on the side. Jerry emerges from a bathing hut on wheels in a rather fetching swimsuit. He bounces on a board then jumps in. He bounces backwards and forwards then does a nice dive. He spits water out of his mouth. A fish comes out! He dives underwater then suddenly a sea serpent appears. "This is the life!" Jerry announces. He then sees the sea monster and begins swimming for his life. The sea monster follows. Jerry runs along the beach with the monster in hot pursuit. Suddenly he sees a clown who is holding a hoop for his dog to jump through. Jerry jumps through it instead. He bursts through the paper inside the hoop and comes out onto Sid's desk. The paper Sid had been drawing on now has a big hole in it. "No more holidays for me!!" announces Jerry. He dives into the inkpot. "The End."
