Behind Daniel Rudge, the other people are the Aquitania's bellboys.

The gramophone matrices were all Beethoven recordings.

The title "Jaggers the 2nd" references a previous London messenger called William Thomas Jaggers, who as a 14-year-old was despatched to New York in 1899.
