    Inventor Major Robert Van Rolleghem stands in front of a crowd. They watch a model aircraft burning on the ground. CU of burning model. People turn away as the heat gets too intense.

    CU of Major Van Rolleghem. He talks off protecting planes against fire, fumes and flames.

    The Major (clutching two small mice) climbs into a mock cock pit and has his assistant set a fire just behind him. They flames and smoke lick around the edge of his safety cockpit invention.

    He steps out and moves away from the fire. He demonstrates that both he and the mice are well and have been saved from harm by his invention.
