The first 48 seconds are shot by an unnamed cameraman, about 7 kilometres from Chartres in Northern France.
However things then become more interesting, for a slate at 0:49 identifies the cameraman to be "R Meyer" of the 166th Signal Photo Company. This is the future legendary sexploitation director Russ Meyer, creator of such films as Beyond the Valley of the Dolls and Supervixens. The location for Meyer's footage is Chartres itself.
