    Richard Payne, famous hypnotist in London.

    C/U two man and a woman swaying about as if drunk (they are hypnotised). C/U Richard Payne's hands and face. M/S Payne telling three volunteers under hypnosis to peddle as if on a bicycle. M/S Payne persuading volunteers to act like a cats. Various shots Payne persuading a volunteer to be a "stiff iron girder". The hypnotised man lies with his head on one chair and his feet on another, Payne and another man step onto the hypnotised man's rigid torso.

    M/S Payne persuading volunteers that they are "freezing with the cold"; they shiver and shake and huddle together. M/S Payne persuading the girl and one of the men that they are in love with one another, they embrace and kiss. Payne tells the volunteers they will wake up on count of three and shout "whoopee".
