  • This is actually British Honduras (now called Belize), which was a different country to Honduras. It is in Central America.

Hurricane Hattie blew between 27 October and 1 November 1961.

The devastation seen here is in Belize City, the capital of the former British Honduras - the hurricane reached there on 30 October.
