M/S of a model wearing a hip holding corselet for the larger woman.

    Hove, Sussex. C/U of Mrs Sybil Franklin pegging out her washing. She is the wife of a policeman, foster mother of 9 children, and winner of the Sussex hospital Foster Mothers' Cup 3 years in succession. M/S as John Parsons interviews her in the garden. He takes a look at some of the babies. C/U baby twins, two of Mrs Franklin's charges. C/U of Sandra, a 14 month old baby girl, she puts her face to the microphone and blows a kiss. C/U of Parsons holding another baby, he meets with a mishap and calls Mrs Franklin who takes the child. Parsons wipes his hands on his coat lapels.

Good M/S of George Formby laughing with Professor Joad, they are both judging the competition. C/U's of the girls in their swimsuits. Formby stands up as the winner comes to the podium, she is June Rivers of Manchester. M/S as she poses with a grinning Formby and Joad.
