  • Description

Full title reads: "Hitting the target. Artillery demonstrations at Larkhill, Salisbury Plain".

    Wiltshire.

British army training exercise. Tanks roll across plain, pulling heavy artillery guns behind them. Soldiers detach guns from tanks and wheel them into position. Officers watch through binoculars from jeeps and perched on shooting sticks on sideline. Various shots of artillery being fired across shooting range of plain. Various L/Ss of explosions on horizon. We then see quick fire mortars being fired. Various shots of cavalry; horses pulling gun carriages. More shots of artillery being fired at dummy enemy tanks, coming towards soldiers through smoke screen. Dummy tanks look like motorised shopping trolleys covered in black material.
