The Longacres Hill Climb in Seattle was sponsored by the Seattle Cossacks Motorcycle Stunt and Drill team; team members were also some of the most formidable racers in the Pacific Northwest. Longacres Hill was one of the shortest, but steepest hills around. It was only about 120 ft from bottom to top, but a grade of 79% (38 degrees). The Longacres Hill Climb drew crowds of several thousand spectators.

The Seattle Cossacks are still in existence, still performing on hand-shift, foot-clutch Harley Davidsons from the era in which this film was made, and we recently celebrated the 75th anniversary of our founding.
