Expert from Heinz' Contract Crop Department is seen heading off to meet one of the biggest carrot seed authorities in Britain. We see women pulling carrots - backbreaking work. Various shots of three men checking the quality of the carrots. Carrots loaded into sacks and driven away on the back of a lorry.

New Zealand mutton is another major import - shots of sheep and cowboys in NZ. Australian cattle are seen - Heinz buy beef and butter from Australia. Tomato soup being made in Heinz factory. Boardroom meeting. Cans of Heinz soup, Spaghetti and Baked Beans and a bottle of Tomato Ketchup are on the table. Italy is the country where Heinz get their tomatoes. Various shots of tomatoes being harvesting. Narrator talks of how Heinz have improved working methods in Italy since the second world war. Tomato processing plant in Italy. C/U of tomato being sliced open and shown to the camera. Laboratory where tomatoes are tested. Selection of tomato seed and seedlings. Fields are ploughed. Tomatoes harvested. A tomato grower who wants to supply Heinz begs to be given a chance. He is refused. Crates of tomatoes are transported, washed, quality checked, some are rejected - only the perfect ones are used.
