Start of the Scottish FA (Football Association) Cup semi-final match between Heart of Midlothian and Raith Rovers. SV. Two Scottish captains tossing. SCU. Boy with large hat "Raith for the Cup". GV. Raith kicking off with hooped socks. Thomson passes the ball back, and it is kicked up-field. Copland heads it on but he is intercepted by Heart's back and passed to Dave McKay who receives the ball. McKay kicks it out to Young but a Raith man intercepts and it goes to the outside left McMillan. He beats Kirk to start Raith Rovers attack. GV. Massed crowd. SV. Heart defender coming away with the ball. He flicks it out to the right wing but McLure is there to intercept the pass and kick back into the Heart's half. GV. Heart's goal area. Ball just dropping into goal area where a Raith player shoots and Duff dives to save. He pushes ball round post. SV. Massed crowd. SV. Heart of Midlothian on the attack. Young in possession, running towards the Raith goal. He beats the back and shoots. Stewart makes a fine save and clears up-field. SV. Ball comes through to a Heart's defender who kicks it back to John Crawford but McEwan robs him of the ball and starts running towards the Heart's half. SV. Massed crowds. SV. Raith player running with the ball. He is upended by a Heart's defender and loses the ball. A Heart's defender then kicks it back into the Raith's half. SV. Raith goal area. Hearts attacking. A player pushes ball out to Young who receives. Young centres the ball across the goal area where a Heart's man heads it towards the goal but it goes wide. SV. Massed crowd.

(Half Time). Football Scottish Cup semi-final. GV. Raith Rovers goal area. Hearts attacking. Conn in possession. He flicks it out to his outside left Crawford, who receives and kicks into the goal area, where the right wing tries a header. The ball goes up in the air and Stewart jumps and collects the ball. He runs and kicks it upfield. SV. Massed crowd. SV. McKenzie running with ball. He kicks it out to the left wing who receives. He beats his man and crosses the ball into the Raith goal mouth where W. Bauld tries a header, but it goes straight into Stewart's arms. He runs and kicks upfield. GV. Centre circle. Ball coming down . A Hearts and Raith man jump together to head, where it goes out to Crawford who heads it on but a Raith defender intercepts and kicks upfield. LV. Raith attacking. A running duel between Copland and Glidden towards the Hearts goal, but to avert danger Glidden instead of passing back to his goalkeeper flicks it away from the goal. Hearts goalkeeper chases it to avoid going for a corner and is hotly pursued by Copland, but the goalkeeper dives on the ball and Copland trips over him., but he gets up safely and runs upfield with the ball. SV. Crowd. SV. Players coming off field.
