    Location unknown - somewhere in England.

    ntroductory intertitle reads: "No gulf is widening more rapidly than that between yesterday and today in farming methods - Yesterday ..." L/S of men working in a field with an old fashioned horse drawn reaper and binder. Some men stand on top of a cart containing a large amount of hay. They use pitchforks to move it onto a conveyor belt system which lifts it onto a large stack. "Today the harvest can be cut, dried and ready for the mill in one day, no longer dependent on ordinary weather conditions." Various shots of a combine harvester being used. A "harvester thresher".

    Narrator explains all the processes involved. Nice shots of the harvester at work. It is an "Albion" machine. L/S of man with a sack of grain on his shoulders. He pours it into a bin at the foot of the dryer. C/U of the grain. M/S of man opening the door of a small furnace used to dry the grain. High angle shot of steam rising from the dryer. High angle shot of two standing beside the dryer as the grain pours out. "Another robot - " Several shots of two men using a steam plough - unfortunately these shots show evidence of nitrate decomposition.
