    HANDLEY PAGE MODELS

In front of a wind-machine, a model aircraft of a bi-plane connected to a rod spins round against a black background. Several shots, various angles. Another single wing model aircraft has features on the wings pointed out in close-up. This plane is also shown on the rotation rig. The plane gradually stops turning. Title: "The advent of the slotted wing, however, has eliminated this danger-" CU the wings. Title: "The same model as before at the stalling angle, but with slots". CU model plane. "As the aeroplane assumes a steeper angle, so the slots automatically open, thus retaining the lift, which would otherwise be lost and bringing the aeroplane on an even keel." A model aircraft mounted directly in front of a fan. CU the wing slots moving. "'By the aid of an interceptor too', explained Mr Handley Page, 'added control is provided for machines requiring high degree of maneuverability when stalling.'" CU hands fitting rods to the wings.

Real bi-plane with its wing slots moving. Title "Notice how slowly this machine flies with the aid of its slotted wings - (you can see the propeller turning.)" Ground view of a plane flying overhead.
