Various shots of Hal Yates and Cooper Lawley singing the sentimental Irish song "Sweetheart Darlin'". One plays the grand piano. They both wear suits, rather than the usual white tie and tails of most performers.
Shots are intercut showing a pretty colleen with a scarf over her head, a-spinning outside the cottage like a good Irish girl. We also see several shots of the Irish countryside.
In the middle of the song, the pair go into 'When Irish Eyes Are Smiling'. Back to the original song. The one at the piano starts to tell us a joke about two Irishmen, but the other stops him, saying they're supposed to be singing. They finish the song.
