  • This clip's current date of 1929 is incorrect - this funeral took place on 22 March 1930.

    "Lothlothian" on the first line should read East Lothian.

    The country church seen is Whittingehame Church.

  • Can anyone confirm? The date in our records for this clip's cinema release date is 21st November 1929.

  • Confirmation here, (confirmed by many other sources), that Balfour died in March 1930.........

  • So we can have confidence that the 1930 date is correct, I've located his original newspaper article from March 1930 containing an obituary to Balfour (upon opening it, you may need to manipulate the article to the left to see the text.........
