M/S of a soldier firing a pistol into the air, the camera pans round to show the road and trees in the background. M/S of a soldier crouched by a river, there is an explosion in it. M/S of a boat full of soldiers on the river. M/S as a soldier sights along his rifle. There are explosions in the water round the boat. M/S of soldiers marching up to the gates of Buckingham Palace, they march through the gate. M/S of a lion on the palace gate, the camera pans down to M/S of a soldier stood outside a sentry box, he steps back. C/U profile of his face, the camera pans down to show a red badge on his sleeve which reads 'Honourable Artillery Company'.

    M/S of soldiers coming out of a guard house carrying pieces of armour, they are dressed in red military costume from the time of Charles I, a man is strapping on his armour in the foreground. M/S of the soldiers on the grass with their armour, the narrator explains this is the Company of Pikemen and Musketeers. M/S as one man helps another with his armour, he is smoking a pipe. M/S of a man polishing his armour. C/U of the armour, the man picks up a row of medals and attaches them to the breastplate. C/U of the medals, he holds up a tiny nut which he uses to attach them, C/U of his face. L/S of a group of them stood on the grass, a man in front picks up a drum. C/U of one man attaching a piece to his helmet. M/S of the men each taking a pike from the ground, C/U of the pikes which have red feathers attached to them. Various shots as they take the pikes and line up with them. M/S as the leader gives out commands. M/S as the drummer starts playing and the men lift their pikes, M/S of the pikes in the air. C/U as the leader puts his hand on the sword handle in his scabbard, the camera pans up to his face giving orders. The men point their pikes, various shots as they go through the drill. C/U of one man's legs with red tights and red bows on his shoes. Various shots of the group as they start marching. M/S as they remove their hats and bow.
