    New York's Latin Quarter - Greenwich Village is featured in this story. Jefferson Jail is shown, two street scenes with traffic and pedestrians. Intertitle reads: "But, the little Artists "H.Q." make up the chief charm of Greenwich Village - " M/S of two women drawing at easels. Another girl is standing on a table modelling for them to draw. It all looks very bohemian! C/U of one of the artists. She turns to look at the model. Low angle shot of the model who turns her head. C/U of the other artist as she sketches. Side view of the three women. "Here we met Ambrose, the sophisticated duck - " C/U of the bottom of a door. Ambrose comes around the corner. He is on a lead, we see him in C/U. We also see the legs and fur coat of his owner as she comes into the studio. The artists wave and laugh. They go over to greet their guests - A woman and a young girl (12 or 13 years old) who wears the fur coat. They shake hands with the artists and they all stroke the duck who the young girl holds in her arms. The girl puts the duck on the table, one of the artist carries over two Siamese cats to the table. "Ambrose is very temperamental" reads an intertitle. C/U of the duck as he quacks at the cats. He chases them away from his food. M/S of one of the artists sketching the duck. "He has a private bathroom to express himself - " M/S of a bathroom with the door open - the duck is in the bath. C/U of him splashing around.

    "Every now and again the "Village" breaks out and makes "Whoopee". Low angle shot of a huge sign attached to the side of a building. The sign reads "The County Fair". Interior of a hall which is decorated with bunting. A few couples dance. It looks a bit like a village hall. C/U of a man conducting the band. He wears a loud checked suit and a bowler hat. C/U of the feet of dancing couples. C/U of a man with a very large (fake?) moustache playing a banjo. Shots of the dance floor are intercut with C/Us of the band members. "The kind of night life that leaks out into the Sunday papers - " Four women ride tricycles around the outside of the dance floor. C/U of one of the tricycles as it comes towards the camera. Pretty wacky! One of the girls rides into the middle of the dance floor and the bandleader presents her with a prize for winning the race. C/U of the rosette type thing he has pinned to her dress. She laughs and show it to the cameraman. Was an item in Eve's Film Review issue 440.
