    Worcester & Hex River Valley.

    View on the famous De Toits Pass showing cars carrying the British Minister of State's party through the pass with mountain in background, on their way to Worcester and the Herx River Valley. At Worcester the party call at the School for Blind Children where there is a Guard of Honour consisting of blind pupils. The British Minister of State Mr. Derek Walker-Smith receives envelope containing greetings from the blind children of South Africa to those of Britain. In this shot may be seen the British Minister with Dr. Eben Donges South African Minister of Interior and Sir Graham Haymann (immediate past President of the Federation of British Industries) with bunches of grapes in hand and tasting them with relish. View of grape vine with many fine bunches of grapes. Some of the party of farmers walking through the vineyard. Scene at the farm homestead where is assembled a representative gathering of grape farmers from the district to meet the distinguished visitors from the U.K. Dr. Donges is seen giving his address of welcome. The first is for The Queen, the second for the Prime Minister and the third for Sir David Eccles (Pres. of Board of Trade). Several view of Hex River Valley one of the richest and most beautiful grape growing areas in the world (weather and light not favourable) The Hex River Valley exports to Britain each year half a million pounds worth of grapes. The only grapes available at this time of year in Britain are from South Africa.
