MS Winner, Britain's Graham Hill's fastest lap time was 1 minute 31.7 seconds in a BRM / British Racing Motors (he was the first driver to win the Monaco Grand Prix three times in a row) with Prince Rainier of Monaco and Princess Grace (previously Grace Kelly).
Note: Date on original record: 01/06/1965. Italy's Lorenzo Bandini was placed second in a Ferrari and BRM driver Jackie Steward of Scotland was third. A contemporary article from the International Herald Tribune says that Paul Hawkins' car after hitting the straw bales, fell into the bay.
