    RAF airbase at Brize Norton, Oxfordshire.

    L/S RAF (Royal Air Force) personnel adjusting tie-rope to glider. Ground to air, Dakota flying overhead. M/S Verey light signal fired for aircraft. Ground to air, Dakota diving towards snatching set- up, glider is jerked from stationary position, glider is towed into the air. Air to air, glider being towed, the cable is broken, and glider sails off. Shot from inside glider, as it is being snatched by aircraft.

    I am trying to establish the identity of the winch operator in this film. My father was the Flight Egineer winch operator when this was demonstrated at Farnborough Air Show and was based at Brize Norton in 1949. If you could advise of the date at which this was filmed it will allow me to check against his flight log.
