    The Berlin was an old LIGHT CRUISER, NOT a battleship.She survived from WW1 and, until the new building come, they are the cruisers Germany had.

    Vongratz is correct. Berlin was commissioned in 1905. In 1927 she was a training ship, and this is doubtless her departure on a training cruise. She was decommissioned in 1929, and used as a barracks ship until the end of WWII when she was scuttled.
