  • It's odd that the title card for this clip gives the location as "Munich", for in fact the event pictured here, the 1937 German Motorcycle Grand Prix, is being run at the Sachsenring in Hohenstein-Ernstthal, a good 3-hour drive away from Munich.

    The race was held on 8 August 1937.

    "Gall" is Karl Gall. His bike is a BMW.

    Note that during he clip there's some truly great footage of an NSU bike and its rider.
