    George S. Wheeler, former "Voice of America" US News Service Employee, makes statement renouncing his US citizenship and asking for political asylum in Czechoslovakia. He makes statement at a press conference at the Ministry of Information and Public Culture.

    Wheeler rises to his feet to speak. L/S over heads of reporters of Wheeler. M/S reporters seated at tables listening and making notes. M/S Wheeler making his speech - he says he fleets ashamed of "the crude lies and slanders about events and conditions in Czechoslovakia broadcast by "Voice of America"."     M/S Wheeler's young daughters playing outside their house. Wheeler and his wife arrive and the girls run over to their parents. The family go through gate to their home.
