LS Gemini 10 on an Agena rocket lifts off from Cape Kennedy on what will be man's furthest flight ever into outer space. The camera pans up with the rocket as it ascends through the clouds, its vapour trail disappears until all that is visible of the rocket is a dot of light. Finally, there is a distant explosion, possibly as the booster rocket falls away. John Young and Michael Collins are the two astronauts on board.
