    Pageant w/ little girl crowned carnival queen; she & her court pose on steps. Then a parade w/ many people in costumes. The carnival queen rides in open car decorated w/ flowers. Boy Scouts; Girl Guides; children riding on floats. Crowds watch them go by. A bunch of girls skipping down the street. Clown marching bands - Charlie Chaplin impersonator amongst them.

    Near end; a float promoting electricity; w/ several appliances on float; a woman ironing; and the slogan: 'Electricity Means Healthier; Happier; Cleaner Homes'. Crowd swarming in street after the parade.
