    The sudsmobile spreads foam and water on a runway to reduce the risk of fire if plane has to make crash landing. Waddington, Lincolnshire.

  • It's perhaps interesting to note that this demonstration of the new Sudsmobile technique at Waddington was shown in cinemas on 15 August 1960 - just over a week later, on 23 August, the technique saved the two members of a Canberra which made a wheels-up landing there.
