    No title - 'Fire Chopper' - new mobile firefighting unit. Farnborough, Hampshire.

    Ground to air shot helicopter arriving carrying the Pyrene Fire Chopper unit underneath. C/U as it is lowered to the ground. M/S helicopter, pan to unit lowered on to the ground. M/S firemen leaping from helicopter and running over to unit to prepare it for use. M/S helicopter taking out hoses from the unit to burning plane. C/U flames. C/U burning plane with firemen playing hoses of light water onto it (looks like foam). Camera pans up to high cloud of smoke above the plane. Various shots as they direct the hoses onto the fire. Various shots the Pyrene-Sun Land Rover, it directs hoses onto burning wreck. M/S as flames are extinguished and the hose dies down.

    "hoses from the unit to burning plane." - the burning unit is a Blackburn NA.39, (a forerunner to the Buccanneer), Serial No. XK487.

    "Various shots the Pyrene-Sun Land Rover" - it's actually a Thornycroft fire engine.
