    Film Fanfare No. 20 - section 1.

This seems to be duplicate of film id 2823.05, but this version has Peter Noble interviewing Ruby Murray, not compere Paul Carpenter doing the honours. To be checked.

Presenter Paul Carpenter introduces Peter Noble.

Paul Carpenter and his 'Film Gossip' spot. He talks about the latest films - 'Spring Reunion', 'Stranger in Town', 'The Teddy Boy', he shows picture of promising new star Virginia McKenna and talks about the book 'Sea Wyf (sic) and Biscuit' which is to be made into a film. Peter then interviews singer / film actress Ruby Murray.

Muir Mathieson and the Studio Orchestra play music from 'The Glass Mountain'.

There appears to be some confusion in the shots list.....

"This seems to be duplicate of film id 2823.05", says the shots list, however this IS clip 2823.05.

"Paul Carpenter and his 'Film Gossip' spot" - it's Paul Noble, not Paul Carpenter, doing the Film Gossip spot here.

"talks about the book 'Sea Wyf (sic) and Biscuit" - the "sic" is unnecessary, as, though peculiar, Sea Wyf and Biscuit" IS the correct title.

CORRECTION" - My earlier comment should read Peter Noble, not Paul Noble.
