    Feathers.

    Probably filmed at Pathe studios, London.

    M/S as a young woman gives a white feather to an older man denoting cowardice. M/S as he says it will do to clean out his pipe, and opens his coat to look for it revealing a row of medals on his chest. M/S's of feathers just covering the modesty of show girls. M/S's of man dressed as North American Indian wearing feathered head-dress. M/S of exotic female dancer in feathers.

    Diagram shows how a quill is made. Various shots of actors and actresses dressed as Anne Boleyn, Queen Elizabeth I, Marie Antoinette and Samuel Pepys who all wrote with quills, we also see some original samples of their handwriting. M/S of feathers used in hieroglyphics. M/S as lady finds a feather at the bottom of her teacup, this could be lucky if it is straight or unlucky if it is sloping.
