She picks up a shovel and a large brush and climbs over the sty's fence and begins to muck it out. M/S of Mary shovelling manure into the barrow. M/S of a beauty parlour. Ann enters with Mary who is about to be given a makeover. After shaking hands with a beautician in a white dress, Mary lies down on a couch and kicks off her shoes. The beautician, Yvonne Prevost, covers Mary with a blanket. C/U of Ann sitting beside Mary smiling fondly. High angle shot of Mary's head as the beautician gently massages her facial muscles.
