    Halfaya, Egypt.

    Various shots of South African signallers using a heliograph to signal across Sollum Bay. M/S of artillery firing on Sollum. British troops run through ruins and out marches lines of prisoners from Sollum. General view of Hellfire Pass. Various shots at a desert airfield, where men of the RAF and Free French forces are preparing a Free French bomber for takeoff. Bombs are loaded; one of the men hands the pilot a toy horse mascot to go in the cockpit before we see the plane taking off. Various shots of the bomber crew at work. Aerial shots of bombs falling and landing on desert targets. L/S of the bomber returning.

    Axis prisoners who have surrendered from Halfaya are searched before being herded into trucks. M/S of Head Nazi, Major Bach, who surrenders unconditionally to General de Villiers. Captured heavy gun. M/S of a man working hand water pump. M/S Major Bach with fellow prisoner General Schmidt. Commentator tells us that Major Bach turned out to be an Army Chaplain and not a staff officer.
