LV Play in front of the Manchester City Goal: Liverpool's inside right passes over to the centre - To Bill Leives who receives and heads - but a Liverpool player takes possession and passes ball to Arnell who heads out to outside right Jimmy Payne. He receives and shoots goal wards immediately but the ball goes wide. STV. Crowds. LV Play around midfield with Manchester City attacking. SV Pan - Bobby Johnstone and Saunders running together for the ball. but Johnstone beats him and takes possession (Both men running down the right wing) Johnstone lobs the ball in front of the goalmouth but the ball is cleared and Twentyman runs after it to clear up field. GV Liverpool attacking down right wing. The ball is centred. The ball goes out out to the left wing, it is then lobbed over by a Liverpool player and B. Liddell runs forward to bang it into the net this being an offside goal. Massed crowds (GV) Half time Score 0-0. GV Manchester attacking: The ball is lobbed right across the goalmouth. and Revie chases after it followed by Molyneux. Don Revie takes possession with Molyneux still trying to tackle him for the ball. But Molyneux slips on the hard ground and Revie passes the ball to Spurdle. He receives. He shoots goal wards and goalie Underwood dives to save. Goalie runs and clears up field. SV Other end with Liverpool attacking. Payne takes possession. He runs down to the goal line and shoots at Bert Trautmann makes a immediate save and clears up field. GV. The Other End with Manchester attacking in front of the Liverpool goalmouth. Underwood dives to save match ends (0-0)
