Titles read: "EYES OF THE SKIES - A STORY OF COASTAL PATROL FROM AUSTRALIA".

    Australia.

Dusk shots of planes of the Australia Coastal Guard being prepared for an early start. Coastal Command pilots are briefed in a room by an officer; he warns them not to attack their own boats by mistake.

The planes start to take off - it is still dusk. Air to air shots of the planes on patrol and aerial views over the Australian countryside and coast. C/U of a map of Australia's east coast.

Various shots of the aircraft crew at work during the flight. They spot a ship and a message is flashed with a hand lamp; the ship flashes back. The description is sent back to base to check. The ship gets the all-clear.

On the plane we see what happens when an enemy ship is spotted. At the base the order is flashed to the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force); we see the fighter planes taking off and dropping bombs on the enemy ship. Good shots of the bomb crew lining up for the drop and one of them pressing a button to release the bombs.
