Everest Expedition (aka Mont Blanc (2), France). 1920s (?)
Everest. Any information from someone who knows would be gratefully received.
Scenic shots. Opens w/ GV plain w/ foothills - like low mountains - in BG; moving across the wide open space are big animals that really do look like yaks! They are wearing some sort of saddle bags.
Then a real scenic vista; looking across a rocky valley w/ camp - people & yaks; the snow-covered mountain rising in BG. Closer shot herd; pile of rocks. Closer shot of a few of the animals in FG; w/ mountain in BG.
MS men looking over a bunch of boxes scattered in area of the plain - air dropped supplies? (Possibly this is during First World War & supplies are being air dropped from planes.) Shot of tents at foot of carved glacier - giant hunk of ice. Then; DS down a very long and steep drop - shiny ice on side wall; etc. Finally a very scenic panorama - shot from one mountain; w/ dark side of it in FG; Mt. Blanc in BG; w/ white clouds behind.
Note: footage is very light and poor quality in places.
