"Holidays are over and Eve has only these snaps for memories - " Extremely blurred photograph of a family group. Another blurred photograph of a woman playing a banjo is shown. "Dozens of this sort - " Image of Big Ben at a diagonal. Shot of the Houses of Parliament at an angle. "And scenes like this" - double exposure has resulted in a photograph of two women, one of whom appears to be suspended in mid air. "What sweet memories they conjure up!" Blurred photo of a woman posing in a swimsuit.

"As a start it is agreed Eve must have a Camera." Interior of a camera shop - presumably "Soho Ltd." Various shots of a woman being shown different cameras by a shopkeeper. Still image of a family sitting in front of a fire. "Just a teaspoonful of flash powder, mixed as per instructions, is wrapped in tissue paper - " C/U of a woman pouring flash powder into tissue paper. The woman photographer steps into a parlour room setting (this is probably the Pathe studio) and ushers three friends in. She positions them on the sofa in front of the fire. "Place your camera so that the lens does not "take in" the actual fire." Woman stands the camera on a tripod facing the group. "Set the shutter for a "time" exposure and leave it open - " Nice M/S of the woman preparing to take the photograph. She points at her friends, presumably telling them to keep still. "Toss the flash "ball" into the fire - " The photographer goes over to the fire and throws her flash powder into the flames. She stands behind the camera. The ball explodes into light and intertitle reads: "O.K". - close the shutter - " The photographer waves at her friends, telling them to relax again presumably.

"After you have obtained the print, a small bottle of red ink will complete the effect." M/S of another woman sitting at a table with a small tray into which she places the photograph. She holds the bottle of ink up to the camera, takes the lid off and pours it into the tray which is half full of water. She swishes the ink around.

We see the photograph again (perhaps this was tinted red in the print?). "Now for a change - that high jump picture ---" Photograph of two women sitting at a table in a garden. A man appears to be jumping very high over the table. "...was just another fake. Watch - !" We see how the photograph was taken. A woman photographer crouches down in front of the table and the man jumps off up from the table (rather than over it) "- and exactly here, you "press the button." C/U of woman hands as she takes the picture. We see the photo again.

"Then there are the charming portraits you get against the sun - " C/U of a child lit from behind. Animated sequence (maybe Joe Noble cartoon) of baby saying to a camera "O.K. camera, get a nice backlight effect." Camera replies "I can't see a thing for the sun in my eyes!" The baby scratches its head. "That tree will shade your "eye" it says. They walk over to the tree and the camera says "Smile" - the baby obeys. A box appears beside the baby which reads: "Note that the tree shields nothing but the lens." An arrow points at the tree from the sun. The baby's photo pops out of the top of the camera. "Taking group snapshots requires judgement." A group poses for a photograph. Cousin Harold is preparing to take the photo. Box appears pointing to him which reads: "Gaze on it and weep". "Cousin Harold Tries His New Camera" reads the caption. Box pointing to the camera reads: "200 coupons". "Shall he focus on the old crumpet on the left..." he moves the camera lower: "or on little Eric the pride of the lower fourth?" He moves it again "Answer - he will focus on the snappy blonde in the centre and the rest will come out O.K." Intertitle reads "Incidentally, Eve, remember that once the camera back is opened in daylight, it's no good trying to shut it up again quickly." Woman photographer stands by a camera in the open air (this looks like Joe Noble in drag to me!) The back of the camera falls off and all the film unravels out of the back. "But, cheer up, there's always this last resort - !" M/S of street photographer taking a photo of a woman leaning against a building.
