    Harrogate, Yorkshire. "However much the future may depend upon our boys, this would be a poor old world without the girls - " L/S of the Harrogate College with girls in the foreground playing netball. M/S of the girls in gymslips. One girl is taking a shot. High angle shot of large number of girls running underneath the camera. They all group together and look up at the camera.

    "Art always had claims on Eve - " M/S of group of girls in an art class. One girl stands at an easel, the others draw at desks. A woman art teacher advises the girl who is standing at the easel on her technique. " - while the girls are just as curious as boys about "Lab" experiments - " M/S of the girls in a science lesson. Another shot of them performing experiments.

    "Other times - other studies - " M/S of a group of girls sitting in a window seat reading books. C/U of a girl sitting at a desk writing notes, she has books laid out in front of her. "And lacrosse and "P.T." provide another healthy change - " L/S of group of girls playing lacrosse. L/S of girls doing gymnastics in the grounds of the college. The girls do somersaults over a "horse". Looks like fun! "But, the most imposing spectacle was reserved for the last - a splendid exhibition of massed drill - " Alas - the shot is missing. Probably removed and used for another story.

    Date and issue number unknown.

    Note: nicely shot and constructed film. Good for illustrating education for girls in the 1920s, boarding schools etc.
