  • The game was played on 25 April 1959.

    Also on the England side was future 1966 World Cup winner Martin Peters.

    Must say, I've never heard of either "Peter Reclik" or "Peter Paffen". Internet searches show up nothing for these names either.

  • Durch einen Zufall kam ich auf diese Seite und war freudig überrascht, als ich diesen Beitrag sah. Mein Name ist Klaus Beckfeld und ich war der Kapitän, mit der Nr. 5, dieser deutschen Schülernationalmannschaft. Co-Kapitän war Wolfgang Overrath und unser Trainer war Dettmar Cramer. Wie in diesem Trailer zu sehen, war Chris Lawler bei der Platzwahl mir gegenüber. Peter Reclik war unser Torwart und kam aus Gladbeck. Peter Paffen kam aus dem Rheinland. Bis auf Wolfgang Overrath und meiner Person, kam leider keiner im Fußball zu einer weiteren Karriere. Martin Peters habe ich zwei Jahre später nochmals treffen können, mit unserer Jugend-Nationalmannschaft. Für uns spielten zum Beispiel Sepp Maier, Wolfgang Overrath, Stan Libuda, Rolf Kahn (Vater von Oliver), Kalle Wirth, Horst Wild und andere.
