    Paris, France. England Beat France 3-1 at international football match.

    GV Packed stand in Colombes Stadium. MV Densely packed crowd wearing paper hats etc. as protection against sun. SV British Foreign Secretary, Mr Ernest Bevin.

    LV France kicking off. Ball goes to Billy Wright, he passes to Morris but French left half intercepts dribbles and pushes past up wing. MV Moreel collects, back-passes to Quenolle who avoids Bill Ellerington's sliding tackle in penalty area, runs forward, is relieved of ball by Batteaux, who centres for French forward to head towards goal. MV Crowd reaction. MV Scrimmage around goal mouth. Moreel shoots into net with Bert Williams unsighted. Williams holds head. MV Crowd applauding. MV Neil Franklin heads up-field to Jack Rowley, who taps back to Johnny Morris, who immediately bangs ball up middle. MV Crowd rising. LV Morris shooting ball into net. MV Crowd. MV Morris bustling through, passes to Tom Finney, who runs for ball but is beaten by Vignal, who dives between his feet to collect ball. Rene Vignal throws out. CU Moreel receives ball back-heels to beat Wright, does it again, finally dribbling clear races down wing and centres. MV Franklin intercepts centre, heads clear to Wright, who passes back to Morris, who dribbles forward and finally bangs ball up middle. Crowd reaction. MV Wright scores England's second goal.

    SV Half-time score board - 'England 2: France 1'. MV Cuissard is knocked over but slips ball to Gabel, whose shot is saved full length by Williams. Ellerington half clears. Ball to Quenolle, who shoots first time. MV Williams makes overhead save, evades French forwards and throws to Wilf Mannion, who evades tackle by Grillon and square passes to Jimmie Mullen. Mullen receives and chases down-wing. Crowd reaction. MV Mullen shoots but France's No 5 intercepts shot. Ball bobs around dangerously and J Morris shoots first time for England's third goal. French goalkeeper holds head. CU Bevin looking pleased. MV Crowd applauding and gesticulating.
